Why join

A short, useful loop with the team.

Slack is where the day-to-day conversation happens. It complements, not replaces, the docs and the support inbox.

  • Direct line to the team

Engineers and founders read every channel. Most questions get an answer the same day.

  • Faster than email for quick checks

Threaded snippets, file shares, and reactions beat passing JSON back and forth in tickets.

  • Early access to changes

Roadmap previews, new market coverage, and methodology drafts surface here first.

  • Peer support

Trade notes with other builders shipping trading systems, dashboards, and research workflows.

Inside the workspace

Channels you’ll land in.

The workspace is organized around how people actually use the API. New members are dropped into a default set and can pick the rest.

  • #welcome

Introductions and onboarding. Tell the room who you are and what you're building.

  • #api-help

Integration questions, schema clarifications, SDK snippets, and rate-limit advice.

  • #<your-team>-private

A private channel for your team and ours, available on request. Dedicated assistance for integrations, incidents, and roadmap conversations.

  • #markets

Cross-asset chatter on crypto, forex, stocks, commodities, and on-chain venues.

  • #announcements

Release notes, incident updates, methodology changes, and new market coverage.

  • #feedback

Bug reports, dataset requests, and roadmap input that lands directly with the team.

Code of conduct

Keep the signal high.

Four ground rules. Moderators enforce them so the channels stay useful for everyone.

  • Be useful and respectful

Treat the room like a working team. Stay on topic, share what you can, and credit others.

  • Keep customer data out

No API keys, signed URLs, customer identifiers, or PII in channels. DM the team for anything sensitive.

  • No promotion or solicitation

Self-promo, recruiting blasts, paid signals, and DMs to members for sales are not allowed.

  • Search before asking

Most common questions already have answers in the channel history or in the docs.

FAQ

Common questions.

Who can join the SiftingIO Slack?

Customers, evaluators, and builders working on trading, research, dashboards, or anything that consumes market data. We accept individual developers and company teams alike. Anyone who agrees to the community code of conduct is welcome.

How long does it take to get the invite?

Invites are usually sent within one business day. If you don't see the Slack email in your inbox or spam folder within 48 hours, write to info@sifting.io and we'll resend.

Is the Slack community free?

Yes. Membership is free for everyone, whether or not you're a paying customer. Enterprise customers also get a private channel as part of their plan.

Do you offer technical support in Slack?

Slack is a community channel where the team is active, but the official support SLA still runs through support@sifting.io. Use Slack for quick checks and conversation. Use email for anything that needs a ticket, an incident timeline, or a paper trail.

Can my whole team join?

Yes. Have each teammate submit the form so we can send the invite to the right email address. For larger teams or a private channel, mention it in the message field or email enterprise@sifting.io.

What happens to the data I submit?

Your name, email, company, role, and message are emailed to our team so we can send your Slack invite and route you to the right channels. We don't share this information with third parties. See the privacy policy for details.
